Institute for Public Affairs has published the publication EU, V4 and Ukraine: Integration in Times of War.
The future of the European Union depends on significant events and trends, including the long-term sustainability of the European integration project, the Union's capacity to expand the area of freedom, peace and democracy in Europe by accepting new member states, but also on the ability of the EU and its member states to withstand adverse circumstances caused by the aggressive policies of authoritarian states.
The new publication by the Institute for Public Affairs deals with the interactions of the European Union, the V4 countries and Ukraine in accelerating Ukraine's accession process to the EU in the conditions of a full-scale war unleashed against it by the Russian regime.
The publication is an expanded Slovak version of the analysis published in early 2026 by the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe in Vienna (Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa, IDM).
The publication of the study was supported by the Taipei Representative Office in Bratislava.
