Public debate on extremism in the Goethe-Institut

Public debate Extremism in Slovakia - how should democracy defend itself? was held in Goethe-Institute’s premises in Bratislava on 12 December 2016. The event was organised by the Institute for Public Affairs and the Hanns Seidel Foundation. The organisers presented their new publication Current Right-wing Extremism and Ultranationalism in Slovakia: Situation, Trends, Support.  

Co-authors of the publication, sociologist Oľga Gyárfášová and political scientist Grigorij Mesežnikov, together with journalist and publicist Andrej Bán (news magazine .týždeň) took part in the debate. The discussion was led by Tomáš Smutný (civic association Nová Generácia).
