Institute for Public Affairs in cooperation with Hanns Seidel Foundation released publication Súčasný pravicový extrémizmus a ultranacionalizmus na Slovensku: Stav, trendy a podpora (Current Right-Wing Extremism and Ultranationalism in Slovakia: State, Trends and Support). Authors of the publication Oľga Gyárfášová and Grigorij Mesežnikov analyse the current socio-political context, Slovak right-wing extremist and ultra-nationalist scene. The publication contains a chapter about People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) (election results, party profile, personal background, current activities), a description of socio-demographic structure of its electorate, with incentives and sources of support. The authors also focus on a demand for right-wing extremism, on a political and public debate about right-wing extremism, radical nationalism and fascism after the 2016 parliamentary election and on a public opinion representing a fertile ground for right-wing extremism. The publication is a response to a situation, when the results of the 2016 parliamentary election have changed an overall configuration of the party system in Slovakia.
