Financing of Political Parties in Slovakia

Objective: The project includes analytical studies dealing with the issue of party finances in the wider context of socio-political development in Slovakia after 1989. Project presents an analysis of the existing model of providing resources for activities of political parties in the context of current political, party and electoral system of the Slovak Republic. It gives an overview of the financing of political parties and its individual components, provides the comprehensive statistics on income of relevant political actors as well as their spending on election activities between 1992–2012. It assesses the effectiveness of funds spent by the parties on electoral activities in 2012.
