On September 17, 2026, a public discussion titled From Prejudices to Antisemitism, from Antisemitism to Reconciliation—organized by the Bratislava-based Carpathian Platform—took place in the renovated synagogue in the Moravian town of Strážnice. The composition of the panel, in terms of the participants' religious affiliations and professions, reflected the event's ecumenical character.
The debate participants were Łukasz Karpiński (a Catholic priest, superior of the community in Strážnice, representative of the Czech-Moravian Province of the Piarist Order), Štepan Menashe Kliment (Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Brno), and Misha Kapustin (Rabbi of the Central Union of Jewish Religious Communities in the Slovak Republic). A fourth panelist—Grigorij Mesežnikov, President of IVO—provided an expert secular perspective to the debate.

The discussion moderator, Walter Bartoš (representative of the Carpathian Platform in the Czech Republic), delivered an opening speech on the history of Jews in Strážnice and the dramatic circumstances surrounding Jewish-Christian coexistence in the town. He then moderated the discussion, during which participants addressed a wide range of topics: the histories of Judaism and Christianity and their doctrinal tenets; various forms of antisemitism—traditional, religious, conspiracy-based, secondary, and modern; and the impact of prejudices on people's views and political behavior.
In his contributions to the debate, the IVO president drew upon the results of research activities conducted by IVO and its partner organizations regarding the study of modern antisemitism.
