On October 23, 2025, in the Luna bar in Bratislava, in the talk show Evening with Marek Vagovič, IVO president Grigorij Mesežnikov debated with general Pavel Macko and former minister of defense Jaroslav Naď issues of global security in the contexts of Slovak domestic politics in the discussion titled as The third world war? 

The participants of the debate characterized the policy of Russia and the West (USA, NATO) in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the results of the initiatives of US President Donald Trump to stop the aforementioned conflict, the position of Ukraine, the tactics of threatening Russia with the use of nuclear weapons in the event of failures of the Russian army at the front. 

The discussion focused on the implementation of the foreign policy of the current Slovakia’s government and on selected issues of domestic political development, in particular the country's resistance to external, primarily hybrid threats.
