On October 18, 2025, a public discussion on current issues of social development in the Slovak Republic was held in the Cultural Center of the municipality of Bzenov near Prešov as part of the Discussions under the Bzenov tower series. The discussion with local citizens was attended by the IVO President Grigorij Mesežnikov. The event, organized by the Association of friends of Bzenov, was opened by security analyst Vladimír Tarasovič. Discussion was moderated by Prešov journalist Anna Košuthová.

IVO president focused on the broader contexts of the current situation in Slovakia, Europe, and the world. He spoke about how the country has changed in the last three decades, what challenges Slovakia has been confronted with during the democratic transformation and is still confronted today, what problems it has had to solve in the area of democracy and the rule of law. He also addressed the process of forming a political and value consensus on foreign policy issues in the 1990s and the causes of its weakening today.
The discussion also dealt with problems related to the spread of disinformation content that contradicts the principles of democracy and the priorities of Slovakia's foreign policy derived from the country's membership in the EU and NATO.
The event included a presentation of publications by the Mamaš publishing house, which was held by its representatives Saša Petrášová and Jozef Hyrja. Among the books presented was the publication Who Plays Russian Roulette with Slovakia, to which IVO experts Zora Bútorová, Ján Bartoš and Grigorij Mesežnikov (the latter also as an editor) contributed.
