Central Europe and Future EU Enlargement

Institute for Public Affairs (IVO) is a members of project consortium of European thinks tanks led by Vienna’s Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM - Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa). Project “Central Europe and Future EU Enlargement” aims to support the processes of EU integration by working with think tanks from across the region to create an active network that can share expertise, stimulate common understanding and develop joint solutions. Project partners include Association for International Affairs (AMO), Czech Republic, Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA), Hungary, Institute of Public Affairs (IPA), Poland, European Policy Centre (CEP), Serbia, Institute for Public Affairs (IVO), Slovakia and Ukrainian Institute for International Politics (UIIP), Ukraine.

 

On 5 December 2024 IDM organizes in Vienna in the framework of project the conference Cooperation and Integration in the Danube Region. Discussion will be focused on the following questions: What role does cooperation continue to play in the Danube Region? How do post-war countries deal with integration into the EU? The IDM Conference will explore some of the specific challenges facing Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans.


The project “Central Europe and Future EU Enlargement” is co-financed by the governments of Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
