Public opinion in Slovakia before the EP elections

On May 16, 2019, Grigorij Mesežnikov presented in Bratislava to the representatives of several youth political organizations the results of a public opinion poll carried out as part of a project supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation before the European Parliament elections 2019.

In the presentation and in the following discussion, he focused on the attitudes of Slovakia’s citizens to the European Union and other international organizations, level of public support of the Slovak Republic's membership in the EU, factors of electoral participation in the upcoming European elections and motives encouraging Slovak citizens to go to vote.

In the next part of the event, representatives of the participating political youth organizations presented common “European Appeal“ to the media and the public, calling on Slovak citizens, especially young people, to take an active part in the European Parliament elections on 25 May 2019.
