Introduction of the book Kidnapping. The Black Hole of Democracy in Banská Bystrica

On November 2, 2017, a public debate was held in Banská Bystrica in the Artfórum bookstore, coupled with the introduction of the book of Kidnapping The Black Hole of Democracy. 

 

Ľuba Lesná, author, and Grigorij Mesežnikov, editor and IVO President, discussed with readers. Discussion was opened and chaired by Jaro Stančík (Artfórum BB). 

 

Participants of the discussion focused on various contexts of domestic political development in Slovakia after the collapse of Communist regime, on the power practice in the period of Mečiarism the direct consequence of which was the kidnapping of the son of President M. Kováč Jr.  in 1995, on the remnants of the unfortunate past in today's political life of Slovakia. The debate was followed by autographing.
