What is behind the conspiracy theories?

On November 8, 2018 IVO president Grigorij Mesežnikov attended the seminar How to Teach about the European Union? An Effective Education for Democratic Citizenship for Slovak, Czech and Ukrainian teachers from the Trans-Carpathian region organized by the Center of European Policy in cooperation with EUTIS, with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Bratislava Self-Governing Region. 

 

In the panel on conspiracy theories, IVO president IVO and Miloš Gregor from Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Social Studies at  Masaryk University in Brno dealt with the typology, content and social functions of conspiracy ideas and disinformation campaigns. In his presentation Grigorij Mesežnikov used the results of the latest IVO public opinion surveys conducted within the project „Focused on Extremism“. In the following discussion, lecturers answered a number of qiestions from pedagogues.
