Increasing knowledge about NATO among Belarusians

On February 15, 2018, Grigorij Mesežnikov attended international expert conference: NATO – Belarus: Better Awareness for Confidence and Stability. The event was organized by non-governmental organization "Belarus House" in Warsaw with the support of the German Marshall Fund of the United States. 

 

In his contribution president IVO spoke about importance of NATO for the process of democratization and reform after the collapse of communist regimes in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, with particular emphasis on Slovakia's experience. 

 

In the panel on the debunking the myths about the North Atlantic Alliance Petr Luňák from the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, Wojciech Przybylski, editor-in-chief of Visegrad Insight and Maxim Chyľko, head of the East European Security Research Initiative (Kiev) took part together with IVO president Discussion was moderated by Pavol Demeš.
