The US Election Night 2016 took place on 8 November 2016 at the Devin Hotel in Bratislava. The event was organized by the United States Embassy in Slovakia in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). The part of the 2016 Election Night, whose participants watched live the concluding moments of election day the first election prognosis and counting of the votes in individual states, was a panel discussion about the election campaign and the importance of the US presidential election for world development. Speakers at the discussion included Grigorij Mesežnikov (president of IVO), Ján Orlovský (executive director of the Open Society Foundation) and Dušan Fischer (analyst of Slovak Foreign Policy Association). TV channel TA3 provided live broadcasting of discussion.
