Conspiracy discourse in politics

Grigorij Mesežnikov attended an international conference "Ethnology in the 3rd millennium: topics, methods, challenges" which took place in Smolenice on 21 October 2016. It was organised by the Institute of Ethnology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and supported by the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia in partnership with the research network COST Action COMPACT (EU), the CEFRES (Prague), the Institute of Ethnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, University of Szeged (Hungary) and the Department of Culture and Folklore Studies, University of Opole (Poland). Grigorij Mesežnikov spoke in the panel "Functions of rumours and conspiracy theories in relationships between groups" about a conspiracy discourse in Slovak politics. Julien Giry, Vlad imír Bahna, Eva Krekovičová a Zuzana Panczová also contributed to the panel discussion.
