Grigorij Mesežnikov attended a discussion on the topic How civil society and education contribute to the development of democracy in Slovakia. The event took place in Bardejov in the Slovak-Polish House on 27 October 2016 and was organised by the local Community Foundation in cooperation with the Institute for Public Affairs. The discussion was opened and led by Jozef Jarina, the manager of the Community Foundation Bardejov.

President of the Institute for Public Affairs in his introductory speech, followed by a discussion with citizens of Bardejov, focused on challenges with which Slovakia is coping regarding the development of democracy and on a role which civil society actors and an education system of the country play in that process.
