Discussion on democracy and oligarchy

On the 27th of April 2016, Grigorij Mesežnikov was discussing with political analyst Alexander Tomský (Prague) and sociologist Michal Vašečka about the current socio-political development in Slovakia, in Central Europe and in the European Union on the discussion panel Oligarchs, the owners of democracy?, as a part of the Bratislava Hanus Days (BHD), organised by the Ladislav Hanus Society, with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Bratislava. The participants of the discussion paid attention to the issue of linking the politics and economics in the Slovak parliamentary elections in 2016, the specifics of oligarchy as a social phenomenon, and selected trends of institutional development of the EU.
