Parliamentary Elections 2016: Facts and implications for diplomats
The importance and possible socio-political implications of the Slovak parliamentary elections in 2016 was discussed in Bratislava on the 23rd of February 2016 by Grigorij Mesežnikov with the members of the diplomatic corps. The event, which was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, was introduced by Croation charge d’affaires Ankica Vlašič.
IVO president dealt in his introductory speech with the pre-election developments on the Slovak political scene, the overall configuration of Slovakia’s party system, current electoral support of particular parties, the topics of the election campaign, the possible post-election coalition strategies. In the discussion that followed, he answered numerous questions from the audience.
