Meeting and discussion with ambassadors of the EU member states

Two days before the second round of the presidential elections, on 27th March, 2014, at the Embassy of Greece (in Bratislava), country of the presidency of the European Union, Grigorij Mesežnikov took part in discussion with ambassadors and diplomats from the EU member states.

Topics included the results of the first round of presidential elections, the course of election campaign (issues, ways of addressing of voters, candidates’ activities), the positions and the chances of two candidates before the decisive second round, their voter base and possible impact of election of one or another candidate to further political developments in Slovakia and its foreign policy.

In the nearly two-hour discussion about various aspects of presidential election, IVO president used analytical findings accumulated in several research projects of IVO.

The event was organized by the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Slovakia, His Excellency Nikos Plexidas.
