UNDP Europe and the CIS, Bratislava Regional Centre has released two publications which represent outputs of a project conducted in 2011-12 by the Institute for Public Affairs (IVO) - Data collection and monitoring of social and economic threats in marginalized communities.
The first publication is A Situational Analysis of Selected Aspects of the Living Standard of Households in Marginalized Roma Settlements. This report analyzes how much effort excluded Roma households must expend for resolving common living situations, and what obstacles and barriers they face - including financial.
The second one is entitled Incomes, Expenditures and Consumption of Households in Marginalized Roma Settlements. This second report presents a survey on income, expenditure and food consumption of households living in marginalized Roma settlements in Slovakia.
The author of both publications is Jarmila Filadelfiová. Fieldwork research has been designed and conducted by the IVO team. In addition to the author the team was composed by Oľga Gyárfášová, Martina Sekulová and Ján Bartoš. Daniel Škobla from the UNDP Regional Centre cooperated in the preparation of the methodology, field work and elaboration of the report.
