In Tbilisi about social reforms and European integration

On 26th July, 2013, in Tbilisi, Grigorij Mesežnikov participated at the international conference V4 for C3 EU Integration. The event was organized by Caucasian Institute for Social and Economic Research (Georgia) within the project “Visegrad Countries for the South Caucasian Countries EU integration”, supported by the International Visegrad Fund (see more about the project on the project website).

In his contribution, IVO president focused on the process of social transformation in Slovakia after the fall of the communist regime and on importance of socio-economic reforms for the country's integration into the European Union. The conference was attended by experts from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, who paid special attention to the issue of the EU Eastern Partnership program, which aims is to accelerate and to deepen the preparation of Western republics of the former Soviet Union (currently independent states) for participation in European integration.
