Democratization and civil society development in Taiwan

As part of its Working Paper edition, the Institute for Public Affairs released a new study by Grigorij Mesežnikov Democratization and Civil Society Development in Taiwan. Some Lessons for Central Europe.

The publication is an outcome of the author’s research leave at the Department of Political Science at the National Taiwan University in Taipei under the Taiwan Fellowship (October – December 2012).

The study by the IVO President focuses on different aspects of Taiwan’s democratization and the role played by the civil society organizations. It also provides information on the Taiwanese non-profit sector and activities of selected non-governmental organizations and civic initiatives.
