On March 1, 2012 Zora Bútorová spoke at an international workshop on active ageing that was organized by the Forum on Help the Elderly people (Fórum pre pomoc starším, a Slovak member organization of the P.E.O.P.L.E. (The Pan-European Older Persons Learning and Employment Network). Among the participants were representatives of non-governmental organizations from Great Britain, France, Spain, Czech Republic and Slovakia gathered in Bojnice, Slovakia.
The presentation by Zora Bútorová was based on data from the project Older Age and Human Rights: More Participation, Less Discrimination. The project was realized thanks to the support of the Office of the government of the Slovak Republic within the program Promotion and Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms.
