On 3rd and 4th November 2011 Grigorij Mesežnikov and Olga Gyárfášová attended an international seminar “Liberalism in the 21st century: the role of the Liberals in Slovakia and Europe.” The event was organized by European Liberal Forum (ELF), with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, F. A. Hayek Foundation, Liberal Society Foundation and the European Parliament.
Grigorij Mesežnikov in his presentation provided an analytical view on performance of liberally orientated political parties in Slovakia during the period of 1990 - 2010, pointed to their election results, programmatic basis, organizational principles, the used coalition strategies and the implemented policies.
Oľga Gyárfášová focused, in her speech, on the factors of the electoral support of liberal political parties, on socio-demographical and value profiles of voters with liberal orientation and on the particular forms of liberal cultural-political discourse in Slovakia in the current period.
