Female Migrants and Male Migrants in the labor market in Slovakia – Identification and overcoming the discrimination barriers

The Institute for Public Affairs prepared a new study Migranti a migrantky na trhu práce v SR – identifikácia a prekonávanie bariér diskriminácie (in English : Female Migrants and Male Migrants in the labor market in Slovakia – Identification and overcoming the discrimination barriers). The main topics are migration, discrimination and home labor market.

The aim of the study is to provide an empirical view from experiences of migrants working in the domestic labor market, focusing on the problem of discrimination of the group. The study should be useful for the broader audience, e. g.  experts, policy makers, people involved with migrants, employers, migrants, and inquiring people.

The project was supported by the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, in the program Action plan to Prevent All Forms of the Discrimination, Racism, Xenophobia, Anti-semitism and Other Forms of Intolerance.

IVO analysts Miroslava Hlinčíková and Martina Sekulová are the authors of the study, along with the lawyer Daniela Lamačková.
