Wrocław: Workshop on Liberalism and Liberal Politics

On March 4th to 6th, 2011 the President of IVO, Grigorij Mesežnikov, participated in the Youth Liberal Forum workshop in Wrocław, Poland organized by the University of Wrocław and the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party (ELDR). In the panel "20 Years After – Major Trends of the Political Party System in Central-Eastern Europe", Mesežnikov contributed by the speech on Liberal parties and liberal politics in CEE countries during and after 20 years of society’s transformation analyzing election results and the activities of liberal political subjects in the seven post-communist countries since 1990 up to now and wrapping up the main factors of their achievements and failures. The workshop was attended by the experts and students from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.
