Seminars on human rights and discrimination

On March 10-11, 2011 two analysts from IVO, Oľga Gyárfášová and Martina Sekulová, lectured in Veľký Meder on human rights, varieties of discrimination and strategies of preventing all forms of discrimination. The first seminar was prepared for students of the Business Academy and High School (both from Veľký Meder). The schools have already successfully participated in Olympics of human rights for several times.

On the next day, there has been a seminar for public officers, cops and local officers from cultural and educational departments. Seminar took place in the building of the Municipal cultural center.

Both actions were a part of the project “Increasing the awareness and skills in preventing all forms of discrimination and intolerance”, which is realized with the financial support of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. Tireless organizer of educational and training actions is Mrs. Priska Pápayová from the Municipal Office of Veľký Meder.
