IVO at a seminar in Sarajevo

Oľga Gyárfášová lectured at a seminar in Sarajevo on "Preparation and implementation of effective communication strategies in preparation for joining NATO." Action took place within the activities of the Slovak Atlantic Commission (SAC) in connection with the project of official development support -Improving Democratic Institutions - Door to Europe, which is implemented by SAC also in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The core activity of this project is to transfer know-how and experience of the negotiation process of Slovakia into NATO and the EU.

On the two day seminar (April 5th-6th, 2011) took a part the SAC President, ambassador Rastislav Káčer, ambassadors Vladimír Jakabčin and Miroslav Mojžita, and Tomáš Špavelko from SAC and Miroslav Mizera, Adviser to the State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic. In spite of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina differs significantly from the baseline situation of integration process of Slovakia, our experience has sparked interest of the army leaders, ministries and NGOs in the country.



At the seminar, Slovak experts expressed valuable knowledge of the experience of integration process of Slovakia into NATO to their colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
