On 3 June 2011, Grigorij Mesežnikov, IVO president, spoke at the seminar Transformation Experience of the Slovak Republic and Development Aid, organized by Slovak development NGO Platform (MVRO) and by Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA).

In his contribution, Mesežnikov assessed the role of Slovak NGOs in the transfer of experiences in building democracy and civil society in the countries undergoing the process of democratic transformation or preparing themselves for transition to democracy. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia and Czech Republic and by representatives of NGOs from Slovakia and Czech Republic.
