Presentation on the publication She and He in Slovakia: Gender and Age in the Period of Transition at UNDP and UNIFEM

On the occasion of the International Women's Day (8th March), UNIFEM and UNDP organized a presentation on a recent publication of the Institute for Public Affairs, titled "She and He in Slovakia: Gender and Age in the Period of Transition". The publication is a final output from the Equal project Plus for Women 45+. The book and the main findings of the project have been presented by Oľga Gyárfášová, IVO Program director and the member of the authors and research team. More then 30 participants from UNDP and UNIFEM Regional Centers as well from several national institutions, including NGO activists took part. Within a Q & A session also questions like impact of recent financial downturn on women 45+ at the labor market or what has been achieved and what not as for the equal opportunities within last 20 years in Slovakia have been raised.
