IVO programme director Oľga Gyárfášová spoke at the conference and prepared, together with Vlado Krivý from the Institute of Sociology, Slovak Academy of Sciences, a lecture entitled Voters of Smer – a Sociological Portrait.
The programme of the conference included contributions by national and foreign experts (for example: Zdeněk Lukáš, Wiener Institut fuer Internationale Wirtschaftsvergleiche, Pavel Hynčica, University of Jan Evangelist Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem, Kevin Deegan-Krause, Wayne State University, Karen Henderson, University of Leicester). In the coming months, FES will publish an edited volume summarizing not only the lectures from the conference but also a record of the discussion.
