Supported by: Slovak Telekom and Accenture.
Project span: February – September 2025.
Project team: Marián Velšic, Ján Bartoš.
Objective: The purpose of the project is to investigate the phenomenon of cyberbullying, the risk of which comes with increased access to the Internet. In particular, anonymity and the speed with which information spreads enable destructive behavior that can result in psychological problems such as depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, social isolation, and school absenteeism. Schools are therefore often faced with challenges to more strictly monitor and regulate online communication. In addition, with the digitalization of educational processes comes an increased risk of security incidents such as personal data leaks, hacking of educational systems, or malware attacks.
Activities: Representative survey among high school students focused on reflecting on the problems of using information technologies in high schools creating the risk of cyberbullying and the spread of toxic content.
