Objective: To analyze the phenomenon of the so-called “bad mood” that has been reflected in public opinion surveys. Further, to identify factors influencing society's support for reforms.

Outputs: The project has two outputs – a conference and a published volume.

Conference: "Public Opinion and Economic Reforms – does citizens' pessimism in transforming countries of Central and Eastern Europe have an effect on the process of implementation of reforms?" The participants included sociologists, political scientists, and economists from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.

Publication: "Public Opinion and Economic Reform" – seminar bulletin published by The Central European Institute for Economic and Social Reforms (INEKO) in cooperation with the Institute for Public Affairs.
