Annotation
This working paper explores the growing rift in American/European relations. It offers reasons for this problem such as, “Anti-Americanism”, “Anti-Europeanism”, the ABM treaty, the international Criminal Court, and the Iraq conflict of 2002/2003. The author concludes that while the rift continues to grow, complete separation is not the answer. Rather, careful negotiations between both continents are needed to help solve various international issues.
