IVO‘s president at the conference on political parties in Cadenabbia

On November 17 – 18, 2006, IVO’s president Grigorij Mesežnikov had a talk at the conference Political Parties: Essential Part of Representative Democracy organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in Cadenabbia, Italy.

Experts and representatives of parties - members of European People’s Party (EPP) from Germany, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Poland and Estonia took part in the conference. The discussed topics included current trends in domestic political development in Central and Eastern European countries, positions of people‘s, conservative and Christian democratic parties, and select issues of parties‘ activities (programmatic base, electoral campaign, international cooperation, financing, recruitment of new members).
