Discussion on the financing of the political parties in Žilina

On the 18th of February 2015, Grigorij Mesežnikov participated in discussion on the financing of the political parties and the political campaigns, organised by the civic association ‘Against Corruption’ in the premises of the cultural facility “Station Žilina-Záriečie”. Together with him, Richard Vašečka, member of Parliament, and Jozef Petráš, author of the idea of VOLBYOPEN project, discussed the issues related to the financing of political activities. The discussion was moderated by Vanda Tuchyňová from the association ‘Against Corruption’.

In his presentation and the discussion that followed, the IVO president presented data and findings from the recent book publication ‘Financing of political parties in the Slovak Republic: socio-political and legal context, statistical overviews, practice , as well as findings from the ongoing IVO project Transparency of Local Government Elections in Central and Eastern Europe
