Seminar on new political parties in Prague

On 14th of October, 2013 the Institute for Public Affairs in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Prague, the Institute of Sociology of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and V4 Revue magazine organized the international seminar dealing with phenomenon of new political parties in Central Europe. The event was held in the Academic Conference Centre in Prague. It was the follow up of the project “Alternative politics“? The rise of new political formations in Central Europe: reasons, factors, consequences“, conducted by the Institute for Public Affairs in September 2012 – April 2013 with support from the International Visegrad Fund (IVF) and the Heinrich Böll Foundation. The output of the project was IVO monographic publication Alternative Politics? The Rise of New Political Parties in Central Europe. The book was introduced to Prague scholarly community during the event. Participants of the seminar discussed the current developments on the political scenes of V4 countries and analyzed voter profiles of new political formations.
