Political mobilization addressed at a conference in Wroclaw

On April 20, 2012 Grigorij Mesežnikov attended a conference Political mobilization in Central Europe as challenge for the liberal parties, organized in Poland, in the town of Wroclaw by the Wroclaw University and the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party (ELDR). The conference was the beginning of a series of events within a research project labelled the Liberal Parties in Central and Eastern Europe: Weakness and Potential.

In his contribution, IVO president focused on the role of the Freedom and Solidarity party (SaS) in the parliamentary elections in Slovakia, factors behind the electoral votes they received and the causes and correlations of the overall election outcomes in the years 2010 and 2012. The conference saw a gathering of experts from Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria.
