A Seminar on Multiple Discrimination

Banská Bystrica, Rimavská Sobota and Košice were the three cities where the IVO organized seminars on multiple discrimination in May, 20-21. The main goal was to discuss the issues of discrimination from both a sociological and a legal perspective among public officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations and scholars. The IVO was represented by Dr. Oľga Gyárfášová and Martina Sekulová, analysts working on the project Increasing the Awareness about Discrimination and Human Rights among the Public Actors Working with Disadvantaged Groups. The law expert J.D. Jana Debrecéniová from the civic association Citizen, Democracy and Responsibility and J.D. Štefan Ivanco, the coordinator of the Civil and Human Rights Center’s Anti-Discrimination Program answered the legal questions regarding the issue of discrimination.
