On 9 November 2009 the Institute for Public Affairs (IVO) organized a press conference titled “Back to Europe”. On this meeting the IVO informed about the outcomes of comparative research on how citizens of Visegrad Four perceive the political development after the year 1989. Jeff Lovitt, the chief executive officer of the Policy Association for an Open Society (PASOS), was also present on this meeting. In the first part of the presentation Oľga Gyárfášová depicted results of cross-cultural comparative research in Slovakia, CzechRepublic, Poland and Hungary. In the second part Zora Bútorová focused on how people perceive the Velvet Revolution and its actors and compared the present situation with the period before November 1989. Collection of data was financially supported by the FOCUS Agency.
