Objective: Project RAXEN_CC was initiated by European Monitoring Centre for Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) within the program PHARE. The aim of the project is to broaden the existing network of RAXEN in the 15 member states of the EU to include the 10 countries from central and eastern Europe. Civic association People Against Racism, in partnership with Institute for Public Affairs were designated as the Slovak National Centers in the RAXEN_CC network. The primary aim of this project is to offer countries of the European Union objective, reliable and comparable data (in terms of methodology) about the manifestations of racism and xenophobia on the territory of countries involved in this initiative.
Outputs: Database of organizations, their activities and publications on issues such as discrimination, racism and xenophobia. Information collected in the countries being presently involved in the network can be accessed at the EUMC web site: http://eumc.eu.int/eumc/index.php. In the year 2004, the information on Slovak organizations and their activities will be added in the English language.
