Non-governmental Sector in Slovakia - Problems, Experiences, Trends

Objective:
To publish a major edited book publication that maps the situation in the nonprofit non-governmental sector in Slovakia in the area of legislation, financing, and organizational development. To offer a look at some specific problems of the workings of the non-governmental sector, such as its relation to politics, the state, and the private sector. The collection of information will yield interesting by-products in the form of structured interviews with politicians and entrepreneurs, which will be available in the form of individual publications.


Outputs:

Book publication: To See Around the Corner. 21 Politicians Discussing Non-governmental Organizations - interviews with politicians, available in the Slovak language only (9/2003).

The book of interviews with entrepreneurs will be available in February 2004, in the Slovak language only.


The major work - an edited book publication on the non-governmental sector in Slovakia will be available in September 2004, in the Slovak language only
